  1. We were told to collect stories about hidden treasure in our district but hidden treasure is rarely heard of in Co. Meath.
My father told me the following story.
A woman named Rose Mc Cabe had a fort on her land at Corrobuggy near Maio.
One summer's evening she was going to milk her cows in a field. The fort is a round field, and as she was going through it she saw a crowd of fairies standing round a crock of gold and counting money in it.
She watched them for a while and then she turned away her head to see were the cows about.
When she looked back again the fairies had disappeared.
    This woman is living still.
My father did not hear anything more about it.
