A certain gentleman in this neighbourhood was crippled with sciatica and was cured by a Mrs Quinn of Athboy.
She put 5 pebbles in a basin of clear water. She then rubbed the water on the affected part. Monday and Thursday were the days appointed and you were to be there before 12 a.m.

This man went 6 times and was perfectly cured.
The Lord's prayer was said before and after the application of the water.
