- We have six fields at home. The names of them are, the wee field the wee bottom, the big bottom, the hill the back of the house and the fort.
There is a fort in one field on top of the hill and there is a lone bush in one of the fields. There is a story told that one time there were two bee hives on top of the fort. They used to go up to the fort very often to walk around it and look at the country around. One day they were up at the fort and they saw the bee hives and they made up their minds to rob them and to get the honey. They got a can of water and splashed it round the two beehives to keep the bees from flying. Then they battered the bees with sticks and they got the honey and ate it. In a few days the two girls fell sick and died.
