An unmarried woman lived at the Casadh Cam na Featherne.
Her baby died and she wished to have it buried in Creggan. She had difficulty in getting a coffin made. Halfpenny the poet was a carpenter and made the coffin and is supposed to describe the incident (1835 c.)

    " My blessing on Owen
    A sporting comrade was he
    My case I made known
He showed great friendship to me
    The mullet hag's door
He gave me in time of my need
    My babe to enclothe
To leave it in Creggan with speed.

Art na gCéactaí mac Aoidhmh (McCoy)
Might save all this trouble on me
    If the coffin he'd make
I would pay down his bill very free
But for fear of the nail
That was paved in the heart of the door
    O he wouldn't engage
To take one chip off the door
