    (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)
In days gone by as the old people say Lahinch was not the seaside resort that it is now. There was a village called Cillstivian, midway between Moher & Bartra. One day through enchantment the ocean swept in and drowned it. After some time the people got together and started to build the present village of Lahinch. Legend has it that the key that will free Cillstivian of its enchantment is lost in the Liscannor Road and it is a little boy without feet or hands that will find the key. When it is found Lahinch will be drowned.
