  2. There was an old man living in Loughmore one time and his name was Con Flanagan. He worked in the Moors at Phil Cormack's. One night on his way home from the village and while passing by a fort on Lea's hill he heard a funny noise. He went into the fort and saw a very small man sitting on a stump of a tree. The little man was so small that he could fit in his pocket, He stole up behind him and seized him. The little man was a fairy shoemaker and had been mending shoes. Con at once
