When lying down at night make the letters I.N.R.I. on forehead and breast and you will never die suddenly. - For breakfast porridge made from oaten meal and yellow meal was made and eaten with skimmed milk. The milk was drunk from a wooden mug called a peggin or noggan.
For dinner:- potatoes and milk and sometimes eggs.
Supper like either breakfast or dinner
