  2. Long ago there were several travelling people in Ireland. In this district there were some people. There are only a few left yet. One who still comes to our house is Old William a pedlar. He comes around walking and he carries his goods in a box under his arm. His goods consist of laces reels of cotton handkerchiefs and other things. A woman called Polly Hogan also visits our house. She sells china such as cups saucers and jugs. She comes in a jennet and car.
