    Rope Making
    Ropes are made by a machine named a rope machine. There are eight little rollers and two handles on it. The twine is placed on four of the rollers and it is taken across by means of a bit of wire and put on the other rollers. Then the handles are twisted and the rope is made but remains in centre of machine the rope. The end of the rope is attached to a roller. The roller is twisted the rope is pulled through the machine. My father made ropes before but he did not make them of recent years. He has the machine yet.
