  1. My district has been connected with some Irish movements. It is connected with the Penal' Day's with the Famine of 1847 with the land War and it is also connected with the Fenians the people joined them, and in the time of the Land War they refused to pay their rent's. During the Famine lot of people died with hunger Cromwell never visited the district, but it is said he passed through[?] Borrisoleigh. There is no stories told
