    The "Kings Lake." It is said that a King lived there long ago, and that his castle disappeared one night and it was never seen since. There are a couple of "forts" in Kilmeedy but nothing really happened out of them.
    The village of Kilmeedy is fairly large with four streets in it. there are three Public houses and five grocery shops. There is also a Post Office a Guards Barrack and a Chapel for the public.
    At the western side of the village the Boys and Girls National Schools are situated, and opposite them is the Barracks. The land around the parish is very good and fertile. There are a good many townlands in the district, Belvile Garbally, Heathfield, Pallas and Gurrane,
    We have a new school for the past ten years, and further up the village there is the old
