  1. A Man named Timothy Shine lived in Newtown and he wrote many political songs some years ago. He died about two years ago and his father is a shoemaker in Newtown. A farmer named Bill Ryan, who lives in Kilmurry, Feenagh composed songs still. He composed a song called "Power Pig" and Tim Shine composed a song called "The Attack on The Bus." A man named O'Rahilly lived at the entrance to Newtown long and he was called "O'Rahilly The Poet." He composed many songs and ballads and poems.
