- Jacky the Lantern
There was a little man there long ago, and his name was Jacky the Lantern; he was about five feet in height. He was a littel cobler and he lived in a little house and he was very wicked. He would leave no one in. One Xmas night the Blessed Virgin came to the door, it was a very wet night. She knocked at the door and he asked who was there, and she told him who was there. He had pity for her after a long time, and he left her in. When she was going in the morning she said she woud give him three gifts. First was that he would live a happy life. Second was that he would live a holy life, and third was that he woud go to heavne when he would die. He siad they were not what he wnated at all.
