To cure sore eyes go to a place where four waters meet.
Boil laurels and bathe the eyes with the liquid to cure stys in the eyes.
To cure the "thrush" keep the gander in at night and on the following morning make him breathe into the child's mouth while fasted and he will cure the "trush."
To cure a tooth-ache add one of the following - a bit of a pansy stem, a leaf of tobacco or a bit of soot.
- To cure a sty rub your fasting-spit to it for nine successive mornings.
To cure a tooth-ache get a frog and put it into your mouth and keep him there till he has squeaked seven times. - To cure a sty in the eye rub a gold ring to it.
To cure chapped hands or legs get the slán-lus and boil it and apply the juice to the affected limb; the slán-lus will also stop bleeding. - Informant
