  1. Care of Feet.
    People round here would not throw out the water used for bathing the feet in any direction except towards the West, and then only when it had been left out overnight in a vessel. If you threw it out directly, you threw out your luck. If you left it inside the "Good people" would call for it while if it were thrown out in any direction except towards the West, it was probable that you would throw it in the faces of the "Good people", who would approach the house from all directions except from the west.
