When they got it first they did not know how to make it. They threw away the tea water and kept the tea leaves.
The people drunk out of basins and canteens before cups were used.
- There was a hurling match long ago between Carrigtwohill and Midleton. There were twenty men aside. This match was played in Midleton Co. Cork. The match was between two parishes and it was a draw each team scoring five goals and seven points. The players were dressed in tights and jerseys made of bags.(continues on next page)
