  2. Hurling and Football Matches

    There was a hurling match long ago between Carrigtwohill and Midleton. There were twenty men aside. This match was played in Midleton Co. Cork. The match was between two parishes and it was a draw each team scoring five goals and seven points. The players were dressed in tights and jerseys made of bags.
