Ar an leathanach seo

  1. There are 5 Holy Wells in the parish - one in Britway called St Brigid's Well: one in Coole, St. Abbon's Well; one in Ballyroberts, Our Lady's Well; one in Coughlans, Farran, Sunday's Well; one in Corrin.
    People still visit them, on certain days, and as a rule they pay "Rounds", and say prayers, three Hail Marys at the well in Coole, at Ballyroberts the Rosary; at Britway, the Rosary.
    People have been cured at the Wells.
    There was a man from Fermoy cured of sore eyes at Corrin Well.
    People do not bathe in the wells, but they drink the water and rub it to the affected parts.
    Relics are left behind at the well.
    Prayer books, r. beads, Statues, cups, bits of cloth and coins are left by different people who visit the Wells.
    There is a trout in St Brigids Well.
    Stories are told about people who mis-used the well water.
    Trees surround the well in Coole.
