  1. There is a mass path in Scarteen and it is said that three priests were killed there. While saying mass the soldiers attacked them. There is a tree in Scarteen with the image of the sacred host carved out in it and it is said that a girl took a bramble off of it to drive cows and her father asked her where she got the bramble and she said on that tree. He sent her back with the bramble and told her put it in the place where she broke it off and she did it and it was growing next morning.
