Ar an leathanach seo
- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)which she puts a ring, a thimble, a piece of a stick and a piece of a rag. The person that gets the ring is supposed to be the soonest to marry. The person that gets the thimble is supposed to be married to a tailor. The person that gets the stick is supposed to die the soonest, and whoever gets the rag is supposed to be poor.
When this is over the game of "snap-apple" is played. An apple is hung for the ceiling with a cord or put into a tub of water and it is great sport trying to catch the apple with ones mouth.
During the Summer the boys amuse themselves by "nut-cracking" & playing other games.- Bailitheoir
