  2. In this district there lived several poets long ago but they are nearly all dead. They all composed their poems in English.
    Mrs. Maggie Hayes, of Paddy Hayes's Cross is a farmer's wife and is still alive. She made several verses of poetry one of which was "Lament for my Dead Friend". She made this on the occasion of the death the death of a friend of her's.
