- The local fairs are held in Ballydehob. They are always held in the town. Buyers sometimes go out in to the country, and buy animals. The buyers buy animals at crossroads the morning of the fair.
There are no traditions of fairs having been held on hills, or castles, or forts.
The town fairs are held in the street. There is no toll paid now, but it was paid long ago to the Swanton family.
