    informers to the British Forces. The evening before the burning Wood's wife and two daughters were removed by the I.R.A. to Barry's hotel in Ballydehob for safety. Wood never since repaired the house. He and his family lived in Skibbereen for some time. Then they went to England where they have now lived for fourteen years.
    In the year one thousand, nine hundred and twenty two a house owned by Miah Sullivan at Coolagh, Ballydehob was burned to ruins. It was burned by the Black and Tans as they suspected Sullivan of being an informer to the I.R.A.
