    It was then cut into fancy shapes or squares and baked on the pan. It had to be watched and turned very often.
    When baked it was sometimes eaten while hot with new or sweet milk. It was a great favourite food with the old people especially any one who had bad teeth.
    On Christmas morning potatoe cake re-heated with bacon fried on the pan was always served for breakfast. it was counted a great novelty then and every one should get a slice.
