    Cullaheren (coill a h-larann) means the wood of the iron. There is a wood in that district.
    Culathan or "Cul a ión" means the back of the hole.There was a manure hole here as was in Tonroe.
    Clooniron means the meadow of iron. Cloon ar 'Cluain' means a meadow
    Boherbee means the yellow road. Boher or "Boṫar" means a road and bee or 'buidhe" means yellow. It is so called because when the people came to the district, there was a lot of yellow gravel to be found. They made a road with some of this gravel and called the district after it.
    Rooskey means the swampy valley. There is a big river running through this district.
    Kilteaman means the deep wood. Long ago there was a wood in that district
