There were 3 evictions — Frians, Kerreans and O'Brien. Tom Callery paid Frians rent. Then he got that farm and the Frians had to go to the work house. All the people bycotted Tom Callery and he died after a few year's. Kerrean's land was divided and a house was built for the mother. It was the time of the landlords and after the day the rent should be paid it was rising 5/- a day. Mrs Kerrean's hadn't the five shillings so she was evicted. All the young men built OBrien house again. He had two farm and he lost one but he got it again after a few years.
There is only shop . Miss Degnans James Kenny can speak Irish well He is the only one who can speak it now. He is not a native of this place. All the old people people remember their fathers and mothers to be able to say the Rosary in Irish
Some families left this village. Paddy Lavin sold his place to John Flynn and got another place in Curry. Tom Wauldren sold his place to Pat Duffy and went working away from here.
