- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)The big people also like to have a bonfire. They light it at ten and end it at four or five o'clock in the morning. They have a melodeon or a violin and they play grand music. When they are going home they bring a couple of lighted sods with them. Some take them into the house and others throw them in the land. The bonfire is lit in honour of St John.
- The travelling are the gipsies or the pedlars. Long ago the people used to give them a night's lodging but now they dont. They have camps made out of bags and they go to a sheltery place and they camp there for the night. They go round to the people's houses and they sell lace, little table cloths, and collar studs.
