    The most common potatoes which grow in this district are the shamrock and Ker's pink. The potatoes are sown in drills and ridges. This is how they prepare the land, first they plough it them they harrow it. The plough is mostely used around here for the drills, the spade is generally used for ridges.
    The potatoes are generally picked by hand, but in the big farmers houses the potatoes are dug by a potatoe - digger.
