  1. Not far from my home is a rath. It is hollow in the middle with a mound all round it.
    There used to be hawthorn bushes growing on the mound but they are all cut down now.
    One man made a Summer house in the bushes and the first day he sat down in it, he was paralyzed he could never walk or speak again.
    Another unfortunate man cut down all the brushes around the rath, clearing the land to cultivate it. But very soon after his son and daughter and wife died with in a very short interval after one another.
