Long ago the people ate three meals a day They were their breakfast, dinner and supper The breakfast was eaten at eight o'clock in the morning, their dinner at two o'clock in the afternoon and their supper at six o'clock in the evening.
Long ago the people would do an hour's work in the morning before having food. The breakfast consisted of Indian porridge and buttermilk and boxty bread and about a half a cup of tea. The dinner consisted of potatoes and salt and butter and buttermilk. The supper consisted of oaten meal porridge and buttermilk and in some cases Indian porridge was eaten instead.
