Long ago the people would do an hour's work in the morning before having food. The breakfast consisted of Indian porridge and buttermilk and boxty bread and about a half a cup of tea. The dinner consisted of potatoes and salt and butter and buttermilk. The supper consisted of oaten meal porridge and buttermilk and in some cases Indian porridge was eaten instead.
