    killing of the friars came to Mullinavat that night and began drinking with some of his companions. After he had sat down for a while to rest himself, he got a most fearful pain. He died about an hour after in terrible pain.

  2. There is a stone in John Cashins field at Ballynoney. It is about 12' H by 6' W. About 100 years ago the people dug under the stone and they found steps leading down.
    They followed the steps until they came to the tenth one and there they found a brass ball. They could not find anything else so they came back and closed the opening. There is a black cross on top of it and some people say it was a druids altar.
