  1. Nail making:
    Many years ago a man by the name of Peter Conn or (Lovey Conn) lived in John Walsh's yard. He was a nail maker, and he used to make every kind of nails. The way he used to cut the wire to make the nails was he got a three corner piece of iron to cut them in lengths. This was called a "Devil". He used to put the wire on the Devil and hit it with a hammer and the wire was cut.
    Barrel making:
    In Buckstown there lived a man by the name of Michael Mc Evoy and he was a great barrel maker. He used to make barrells for separators.
    In Listrobin there lived a blind basket maker by the name of Pat Loughlin. He is a first class basket maker. He gets the sallies, and sticks them around on a
