    accompanied him. After a short time he found himself at a big house where another dance was in progress. He entered and sat down. People passed by his chair on the way to an adjoining room until at length an old woman said to him that he was better anywhere than there that night.
    The door was guarded by a man and woman who watched him carefully. After some time, suspecting danger he made a sudden burst to escape but the guards grasped his coat which he slipped off to them and ran for his life.
    The first place he recognised was Rathcroghan crossroads, where he met his neighbours looking for him.
