One rag man had a donkey upon which he placed the rags.Then there was the traveller who begged the country side and towns within a radius of 6 miles. This man carried no goods, and would stay at certain houses in his district, for the night. There was a bed of straw in a corner of the kitchen for him to sleep in and he would have as much meal, tea, sugar, and bread, as would be sufficient for his meals.
