    Aged 6. - written in the year 1921
    I
    A Father's Pride, a Mother's Joy.
    From earth has passed away.
    I saw a little vacant chair,
    Within their room to-day.
    II
    Two little pairs of socks and shoes.
    Were lying there also,
    I think I see dear little Jim,
    As he ran to and fro.
    III
    But Jim has gone to heaven.
    With Jesus there to dwell.
    The reason he was taken.
    None on this could tell,
    IV
    Oh! Father why is it that these
    Dear little ones are given.
    And in so short a time.
    There taken back to Heaven.
