  1. It occurred in the year eighteen hundred and thirty nine, in the month of March. It was so wild and rough that it knocked down houses and trees and killed numerous people and animals.
    The fish were blown out of the water to dry land. It lasted about twenty hours. It started at seven o’clock and ended at three the following evening.
