  1. These are some of the marriage customs the people used to have long ago:-
    1. The bride and groom were to go home a different route to that taken on the way to the Church.
    2. Not to marry in Lent or you are sure to repent.
    3. Marry in blue your lover is true.
    4. Marry in yellow you are ashamed of your fellow.
    5. Marry in white you are sure to be right.
    6. Marry in green you are ashamed to be seen.
    7. The bride is to wear something old and something new, something borrowed and something blue.
    8. There is a rhyme about the days of the week:- Monday for wealth, Tuesday for wealth, Wednesday the best day of all, Thursday for crosses, Friday for losses and Saturday no day atall.
