  1. In Clooneen, two & half miles from Dromore West, at the back of Sam Kelly's house there are the ruins of an old monastery. This monastery was built long before Cromwell came to Ireland, but it was later destroyed by Cromwells soldiers. They murdered the Friars and threw them into a big hold beside the river Easkey. This river flows exactly beside the ruins. The hold into which they were thrown is called Poll a 'wurder'. Perhaps this means Poll a' bord-osrear. The hill on which the monastery stood is called Cnocan na mbraiar. Right oppostite the ruins on the other side of the river is a fort + in the river there is a waterfall. This waterfall is called Dun easa.
