    and you can go to Connor's house with Pierce and the bull's head will be boiling over the fire in a pot. When he came home, things were as the girl told him, and he was offered the bull and refused it. He told Pierce to come to Connor's house that night. After a while at Connor's house the boy asked for a cup of soup and Pierce said not to give it to him for when he was getting the bull he would not take him. The woman of the house came to the pot to give him the cup of soup, and the boy stood up out of her way and laid his hand with with the shamrock in it on Pierce's shoulder. When the woman took the cover off the pot, Pierce and the boy saw not the bull's head but the head of the old man, whiskers and all boiling down in the pot.
