    "Buglas" is good for a whitloe, a boil or a thorn. It grows at the foot of a tree. It is boiled with butter and cream and applied to the sore part.
    There is another herb for curing jaundice. James Galligan of Curraghnawall, Ballinamore, Co. Leitrim has this cure. He says that if he told anyone the name of this herb that the cure . would be taken from him.
    Dandelions are great for colds. They are boiled and eaten like cabbage.
    Horses take head-staggers if they eat many "Duacailleáin Dui[?]e."
    Dandelions were supposed to be stars in the sky first. God told them to do something one night and they disobeyed Him. After that He wouldn't let them be so high so He made them stay down on earth and be like stars and delight the passers-by.
