  1. There are four forts in Liscallyroan. There is one in our land and it is surrounded by water and has a large bush growing on it. It is said that long ago there were fairies seen travelling from that fort to another fort in Listalkey. One night James Early was going home from town about one o clock in the night it was dark and he had to pass a fort. Just as he was going by he saw a carriage drawn by two white horses.
