   Travelling folk still call to our home. They sell carpets, chairs, tables, lace, tableclothes safety pins and linoleum.
   The same people have been doing so for many years.
   The majority of them are poor, but some seem to be quite well off.
   People still buy from them. These travelling folk are able to make their own chairs and tables and the women can make lace.
   The rest they obtain in the shops. These people remain about a week or five days in the district.
   They usually sleep in caravans or in tents but some sleep under carts. They always have food with them but they will accept any alms, which are offered them.
   The Heaneys are the only travelling folk whose name I know.
