    Good Weather:
    Swallows circling high in the air. Crows "diving" overhead. A robin on the top of a bush in the evening. A red sunrise and a wide circle round the moon. Cattle out high on the mountains.
    Dry Weather:
    A hawk "dancing" in the air. A mist going out the mountain. An East wind.
    Wet Weather:
    The road remaining wet. A dog eating grass or snoring while sleeping. The midges biting or flying ants on the road. A mist on a mountain. The soot faling down the chimney. The moon dark with a halo round it. Cobwebs on the rushes or on futze. A smell of honey off the black-sallies.
    Frost and Snow:
    Sheep gathered together in groups at the bottom of a mountain under a bank. A North or North East wind and a grey misty sky. The robin hopping round the door looking for crumbs are signs of snow. A clear sky
