"I know a man, who has two dogs and neither of them licensed" "Has he them long"? asked the sergeant. "He has them as long as I can remember. He had them when I came here first". "Will you lead me to him for half a crown"? "I will, if you give me a pair of pants too. These I have are nearly worn" "Alright" said the Sergeant and he went away and came back with a good second-hand pair of pants.
