- In Castlelambert near Athenry, there was a man ploughing one day, and int the middle of the field there was a Lios. He was greedy for land, and though his neighbours told him not to plough the land he ploughed it. The evening became dark and he thought it was time to quit work, so he loosened his horses, and let them graze. Then it got bright again and he thought he could do more work. But when he looked for the harness he couldn't find it. He searched everywhere but couldn't see it.Next morning when he came out he got it in the middle of the Lios. After this he fell sick, and whilst he was in bed, the people used to think they saw him out after the horses.People said fairies in the Lios had taken him away.(Told by Mrs D. Cooke, Cashlaundarra)
