When Diarmuid heard this he hurried home and got the brass pen and picked the thorn out of the back of her head. Then she got her speech. The he asked her who she was and where she came from. She told him that she was the king of Munster's daughter and she told him to go to her father's house in Munster and to get her horse there and to bring him to her. Diarmuid set out for Munster and he spent three days there until he got to know the horse which belonged to the woman.
Then he took the horse out of the stable and returned back. He was seen going with the horse and the king and his army followed him until he came back again to Streamstown.
