Ans. -: They filled the 3 gallon and poured it into the five gallon leaving 1 gallon in the 3 gallon, they next poured the contents of the five gallon back into the 8 gallon and poured the one gallon out of the 8 the 3 gallon into the five gallon and by filling the 3 gallon again they had 4 left in the 8 gallon.
