Usually it takes half an hour to finish a churning. When the dash is clear the butter is made. Hot water is poured into the churn in cold weather. After the churning the butter is taken out into a clean wooden dish and filled with clean water, it gets two rinsing in this dish. It is then salted and made up with hand bats. The butter milk is put into a crock and kept for making bread.
