The old hag asked the man did he know her. Divel the know says the man. Do you remember the day long ago when you fire the hook at the hare and stuck it in her back. Faith I do, says the man. The hag showed him all the hooks behind rafters that were fired after her. And she told him to pick out his own hook. The man got his hook and turned home again and ever since no one ever done anything to the hare. The hare was an old hag.
