    The Ural Stream.
From Turnapin Lane to the Ural Stream there is a black dog seen every night. He stays at the back gates of Mr, O'Shaughnessy's and when he sees anybody he follows them to the Ural Stream. Then he goes back to the fields to the gates again.
One night there was a man going by the gates in a pony and tray and the pony saw some-thing and would not go. The man had to get down and lead the pony by the gates then he got back into the trap. Wen he did that he heard something running after him and when he looked down he saw nothing and when he came to the Ural Stream it stopped.
Told by Mr. John Hoysted, to Charles Hoysted, Clonshough, Santry, Co. Dublin.
